All registered vehicles in Queensland must have a current safety certificate (RWC) before they can be offered for sale. Significant fines apply for failing to display a current safety certificate when your vehicle is for sale.
A safety certificate inspection takes approximately 45 minutes and we always strive to provide a same day service.
A safety certificate inspection is not a comprehensive mechanical inspection of a vehicle; it is an inspection to check a vehicle passes a minimum safety standard as set out by Queensland transport rules. For peace of mind we can perform a comprehensive inspection of the condition of the vehicle.
We provide you with a full written report on any safety or maintenance issues with the inspected vehicle. Should the pre-purchase inspection identify any faults, these can be used to negotiate with the seller for a reduced price if you still wish to go ahead with the vehicle purchase.
